Thurston supplies saw blanks to many saw manufacturers who prefer to grind their own teeth but do not have the capabilities to manufacture their own blanks. We have also found that saw manufacturers who are capable of producing the entire saw blade may find it much more economical to purchase the saw blades from Thurston.

Saw blanks can be supplied ground with clearance to the holes or hubs. We can also supply the blanks flat and parallel. Please see the above illustration.

All of our manufacturing processes are performed in-house, including heat treatment. We have the capabilities of grinding blanks as low as .003 thick with tolerances as close as ±.0001. We have experienced sawsmiths who handstraighten every saw product we manufacture.
